My journey as an artist has mostly been spent living in Nebraska. My art has become like a joyful scrapbook of memories from my journey as they change through the years. I find much joy in creating paintings of what I see and experience and I consider it my mission to share that joy with you.
I use acrylics in gestural brush strokes to express the lyrical lines flowing through the ground, around the trees, and across the horizon. You may have guessed, color is a passion of mine as I seek to crown the world around me in vibrant color. Recently I started leaving glimpses of the grid process in my finished work. I'm intrigued by the abstract quality it adds.
Someone once told me that it makes them think of a folded piece of paper... perhaps a treasure map. I like that analogy.
It's my desire that you experience a warm positivity and joy from my art work. Perhaps you will feel empowered to be creative yourself as you take a closer look at the trees and horizon lines around you.
