Who am I
My journey as an artist has mostly been spent living in Nebraska. My art has become like a joyful scrapbook of memories from my journey as they change through the years. I find much joy in creating paintings of what I see and experience and I consider it my mission to share that joy with you.
Creative Process
I use acrylics in gestural brush strokes to express the lyrical lines flowing through the ground, around the trees, and across the horizon. You may observe that color is a passion of mine. Some of my paintings show a glimpse of the grid process in my finished work. I'm intrigued by the abstract quality it adds. Someone once told me that it makes them think of a folded piece of paper... perhaps a treasure map. I like that analogy. Some paintings show a movement upward toward the sky - fluid, arching, alive with shapes and colors - never static, always moving.
The Viewer
It's my desire that you experience a warm positivity and joy from my art work. Perhaps you will be drawn in and compelled to take a closer look at your surroundings as I have. And that you will feel the energy and uplifting emotion expressed in my paintings.
